The DeForest High School Pool is committed to both maintaining available time for family's to play and work together in an aquatic environment as well as provide lanes for those seeking time to swim laps. In order to do this, we have developed a schedule that allows both commitments to exist while maximizing pool use. Please respect the times that are available for the patrons they are intended for. Family Swim is intended for families or individuals seeking an open area to play, fine tune skills, or gain comfort in an aquatic environment. While lanes 5 & 6 may be in use, it is the patrons right to have 4 uninterrupted lanes of open water to share with other Family Swim participants. If lane lines are left in the water from lanes 1-4, it is the right of any patron to request they be removed for Family Swim use. Lap Swim is intended for individuals seeking an opportunity to swim laps. Lanes 1-4 will always be made available for the public, while lanes 5 & 6 are available when not reserved previously by private groups . It is an expectation that lap swimmers circle swim in order to maximize pool use. It is well within the rights of patrons to request that a single or pair of swimmers stop straight swimming and begin circle swimming if lane availability is in demand. Open Swim is a combination of the two. Two lanes are always guaranteed to be available for Lap Swim or Family Swim and will be determined based off of the proportions of patrons seeking the activity. Two Season Passes are offered: - School Year (September 1 - April 30)

Children age 5 or younger are admitted free to open swim, but MUST have a parent, guardian, or babysitter present and in the water. We also recommend that children 10 or younger have a parent, guardian, or babysitter present.
