Governance The DeForest Area School District is served by a nine-member Board of Education - DeForest (3 representatives); Windsor (3 representatives); Leeds/Vienna (1 representative); Burke (1 representative); At-Large (1 representative) The Board of Education operates under a policy governance model. This approach emphasizes a commitment to stakeholder input and maintaining focus on the ultimate purpose of schooling -- student achievement. More information: Policy Governance Meetings Regular business meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month. The meeting on the second Monday is designated for Board development. This may include information or education sessions from people in or outside the District. These meetings also involve Board linkages. The linkages are with stakeholder groups from within or outside the District. The purpose is to achieve clear understanding and involvement in the progress of our public schools. All meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the Holum Education Center Board Room. More information: Board of Education Board of Education - Janis Berg, President
