Teaching Resources

Everyday Math Resources
Visit Mary Freytag's site for more ideas, resources, and support.

Thinkfinity
Thinkfinity is a great way to find classroom activities and units based on grade level, standards, and/or content areas. Since professional organizations like NCTE and NCTM provide the content, the quality is high. You’ll find resources for the Arts, Geography, Philosophy, Economics, English Language Arts, Science, Math, World Languages, Math, and Social Studies.

Ideas
The IDEAS project searched and evaluated Internet resources for Wisconsin teachers. You may search for resources by subject, grade level, and academic standard. Each resource has been evaluated by a Wisconsin teacher and matched with our model academic standards.

Rubistar
Rubistar is a free (and commercial-free) tool for creating rubrics. You may use their criteria or modify it to suit your classroom needs. When you’re done creating your rubric, you may post it online or print it for classroom use. While you’re there, check out the other nice free tools available from the Rubistar folks, like Trackstar and Project Poster.

A Technology Resource Tag Cloud
Staff members who participated in the 2011 Viterbo book study, "Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works" have compiled their top picks here.  Visit our tag cloud to find technology resources that may fit your needs.
