Up-to-date bus transportation notices for families

First Student and the DeForest Area School District have teamed up to provide families more information about bus transportation. First Student (formerly Laidlaw) is the District's service provider for student bus transportation.

This new First Student web page not only provides contact information, but will include timely notices when needed. Notices will be posted as a link on the district's home page under "News". These notices will be used if for any reason a bus will be delayed picking up children in the morning or dropping them off at the end of the day. This type of notice was first used on Monday, January 7, when a few busses were expecting slight delays due to the fog.

Of course, when the entire school district is delayed or classes cancelled, please continue to check local tv/radio, general notices on the District website, or call 842-6668.  DASD Cancellation/Delay Notices & Information.
