Operational funding to improve educational programming and operate newly expanded facilities include:
- $1.5 million to fund staffing costs and other operating expenses associated with new facilities
- $1 million to support student needs with increased staffing and strategic programming and improve the District's ability to attract and retain high-quality staff
August 2020
The operational funding approved with the April 2nd referendum is helping to improve educational programming. It will also help to operate the newly expanded facilities when completed.
- The building operational portion of the operating referendum ($1.5 million annually) has been used to reduce the borrowing costs for the building referendum. For the 2019 and 2020 tax years these funds will be used to reduce the bonds by a total of $3 million, which essentially will save long- term bond interest costs.
- New positions have been added to support our growing student population, and are targeted to meet student needs and align with district goals, including instructional coaches, a social worker, and staff in core and elective areas.
