High School Spring Schedule Change Information
- The deadline for PRIORITY schedule change requests is Friday, January 9th, 2026.
- The FINAL deadline for schedule change requests is Friday, January 23rd, 2026 @ 3:40PM.
- Students must use their DeForest Area School District email address to complete the request form
Students that wish to request a schedule change should review the schedule change guidelines in the Course Description Handbook and then complete the schedule change request form.
Counselors will review requests on a first-come basis. Students will be informed by their counselor with the outcome of their request. Due to the volume of requests, please be patient as counselors process requests. Students are required to follow their schedule as it appears in their Skyward portal until they hear from their counselor.
There may be limitations with the master schedule that could prevent requests from being completed, including classes that are at capacity and single classes offered at certain hours of the day.
Students, please use the Spring 2026 DAHS Schedule Change Request Form to request a schedule change.

Driver's Education:
DASD partners with CESA #2 to offer the Drivers' Education Program, allowing students to conveniently obtain a Wisconsin driver's license. This program is available either at DAHS or online, accommodating students throughout the school year and summer.
Our Drivers' Education curriculum meets Wisconsin's requirements for both classroom and Behind the Wheel hours. Emphasizing responsible and defensive driving, the course covers essential knowledge and practical skills, from mastering driving mechanics to understanding traffic regulations. Additionally, students learn about legal and financial aspects of automobile ownership, vehicle maintenance, accident prevention, emotional regulation while driving, and the effects of substances on driving ability. Aligned with DeForest Area High School's guidelines, CESA #2 ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.
To enroll in classroom instruction and take the temporary license tests, students must be at least 14 years and 9 months old. You must be 15 to receive your permit and start behind-the-wheel lessons.
