Students will complete the course online and through participation in regular, verifiable physical activity. They are only required to be in a classroom on the first day of summer school for a student orientation and to receive their login information.
*Mandatory Online Course Student Orientation Date - TBD (June 2023)*
In order to meet the requirement for the physical component of the online PE course, students may choose from the following options to complete (a combination of activities may be needed to fulfill the requirements):
- Complete the high school Strength and Conditioning summer course (see webpage for more information)
- Participate in a Personal Fitness Training program such as Athletic Revolution
- Participate in a Sports Camp
- Or complete any other physical/athletic program
All of the above activities must meet the minimum course activity requirement: Important:
"weekly workouts must equal at least 3 hours of physical activity accumulated over at least three days of the week for the duration of the course."
In addition, the student must keep a log to record the specific activities and length of time. The activities must then be signed by a coach, teacher, or athletic trainer in order to verify your participation.
Important note: students MUST use Google Docs to upload assignments for the course. Other formats (such as Word) will not be accepted.
