Curriculum is the means that school districts use to achieve Student Results. These results were developed from input by the school district community and adopted by the Board of Education. A summary of these Results:
- Result 1: Students graduate as responsible global citizens able to think critically, communicate effectively and be prepared for personal success.
- Result 2: Academic Performance - Each student will be literate and numerate, able to integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, attitudes and competencies acquired across all academic disciplines.
- Result 3: Self-Directed and Complex Thinkers - Students are creative, self-directed thinkers prepared for and able to adapt to a changing world.
- Result 4: Collaborative and Responsible Citizens - Students are productive and collaborative contributors in the workplace and in society.
These results empower students to graduate as well-educated, productive members of our community. Curriculum in the DeForest Area School District is designed to develop complex thinkers with relevant academic and background knowledge as well as strong character.
