The goal of the Office of School/Community Relations is improved programs and services that integrate the school district with the community.
In order to protect the unique identity of the DeForest Area School District (our “brand”) and to ensure that when people see the DASD/Norski name or logo, they know it is being used for genuine products or services, or in support of our school district.
Those interested in using our DASD logos should do so in support of DASD students and staff. Requests must be made to the Office of School & Community Relations prior to using any official DeForest Area School District logos. Those using the logos are asked to maintain the outlined guidelines.
The DeForest "D" was created during the 2000-2001 school year by high school art instructor Chris Smith and his senior art students, in cooperation with members of the high school student council. Using the "D" to identify the "DeForest Area" School District, they artfully incorporated a Norski (Norwegian Viking) helmet into the design. At this time, DASD does not officially use any other logo or mascot image.
