A high quality, community-based preschool program for 4-year-old children residing within the DeForest Area School District. All sites offer the same curriculum provided by the DeForest Area School District. The Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) guide all curricula.
Six area community preschool partners provide GT4K programming. Placement is determined by childcare needs, past preschool attendance, and attendance area zones. The District has the final right of assignment. Any child currently enrolled in preschool/childcare at a site is given first priority for that site.
Children participate in activities that provide rich learning experiences. The curriculum focuses on learning through play and active, hands-on exploration of the environment, allowing children to gain skills in several areas of development including:
social-emotional & relationship skills

large and small motor skills
language/communication
