Are you looking for more information about being a substitute in the District? The DeForest Area School District partners with Edustaff to provide substitutes for the district.
Substitute Teacher Requirements:
- Hold a valid and current Wisconsin Teaching License
OR
- Obtain a Substitute Permit from the State Department of Public Instruction with completion of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and a Edustaff Short Term Substitute Training Program (Offered free of charge at the DASD Administrative Office on a regular basis.)
- Complete and submit a negative TB test or TB Risk Assessment Form
Paraprofessional Requirements:
- Have a high school diploma
- Complete and submit a negative TB test or TB Risk Assessment Form
- For Special Education Aide: must have a high school diploma AND obtain the WI Special Education Aide License
