Get Together for Kids (GT4K)
A high quality, community-based preschool program for 4-year-old children residing within the DeForest Area School District. All sites offer the same curriculum provided by the DeForest Area School District. The Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards guide all curricula.
What will children learn?
Children participate in activities that provide rich learning experiences. The curriculum focuses on learning through play and active, hands-on exploration of the environment, allowing children to gain skills in several areas of development including:
- social-emotional & relationship skills
- cognition/problem solving
- large and small motor skills
- language/communication
- creative expression
- early literacy
- self-help skills

How do I enroll my child?
Families with students entering 4K for the upcoming school year should plan on the following:
- January • Attend an informational meeting
- February • Online enrollment
- Complete placement survey & transportation application
- Upload child's birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization records, parental ID
- Spring • Attend the Developmental Expo
- June • Placement notification emailed to families
- July • Finalize online registration
Open Enrollment for families who want to have their child attend DASD 4K who do not live in DeForest/Windsor school district, apply at WI Dept. of Public Instruction.
